CURRENT FOCUS This April we will sponsor an Easter Egg, hunt in Prospect Park. This event will focus attention on the HIV and AIDS epidemic that continues to affect people globally. New statistics show that 50% of newly diagnosed cases are young people between 15-24 years old. This alarming rate clearly shows that the present or conventional methods of prevention are not sufficient to fight the spread of this deadly disease. Children Are The Future and partners are developing programs to raise awareness and starting a campaign to raise funds to help with education and finding a cure to prevent the painful loss life at such a young age. This disease has affected entire communities. Children Are The Future will meet the challenge and launch the, A difference “Made In Brooklyn” Fighting HIV and AIDS youth fest. The Youth Fest will feature speakers, youth speakers, local politicians, entertainment, youth and celebrity fashion shows, poet’s corners, and a silent auction. Children Are the Future plans to work with other organization around the world to flight the spread of this disease. Extending love, hope and practical healing solutions to these children is a task for those with the heart to give.
